VAUGHN BODE INDEX Limited

This covers the first ten years of Vaughn Bodé's fanatic artistic production. It includes a bibliography of his published work, many illustrations and some short comic stories as well.

From Bodé: "The Vaughn Bodé Index is a complex project that is largely due to the efforts of George Beahm. He is one of those amazing fans who comes along and begins to use their own creative energies to help organize and promote their favorite artists. George's great efforts with The Bodé collectors and the eight issues he produced of The Bodé Bulletin (working closely with another prodigious fan, Cuyler Brooks, Jr.) has caused us to become good friends. And, believe me, that is no easy thing to do with so volatile and brooding a personality as mine. I've given George some hard times, often to the point of exasperating him, even as he plowed away compiling something that is quite important to me (and my snowballing art form), the BODE INDEX. As I worked over the manuscript, notating and correcting bits and pieces of information, I was struck with the simple realization: "I did all of this?!" I had no idea I did so much work in these years 1965-75!"
