Description

Tim Tyler's Luck was a paperback collection of comic strips which appeared in newspapers around the world (from May 16, 1932 to May 6, 1933), written and drawn by Lyman Young. Club Anni Trenta (Club 1930s) has collected a year's worth of the strip, beginning with our hero's departure for Africa, where he and his pal Spud are destined to spend the next decade. They befriend a panther, fight against and alongside natives, and encounter (of course) pretty women. This strip was intended for young boys and young men, with Hardy Boys style dialogue throughout. Unlike many Anni Trenta collections, this one is presented in the original English, printed two strips to a tabloid-width page. The strip was never as popular in its native country as it was overseas, especially in Italy Burne Hogarth is best known for his 8-year run on the Tarzan newspaper strip. Out of Print. Condition: Fine. 2 Very light tipped corners.
