The Victorian Vision, and the exhibition which it accompanies, sets out to examine these wider preoccupations of the Victorians. The Victorians were a people of visions. Their visions were partly inspired by the immense social problems they inherited from their predecessors and, additionally, created for themselves. This illustrated and broad-ranging survey looks at how the Victorians went about creating a new, more modern world: at home in domestic and public life, and globally, as the Empire expanded and widened their horizons.
