For the National Cartoonist Society Album 1980 Edition each member was asked to submit a half-page profile illustrated with a photo and an example of their work. 343 National Cartoonists Society members contributed, including Neal Adams, Hal Foster, Jim Berry, Roy Crane, Chester Gould, Jack Kirby, Don Martin, Charles Schulz, Ronald Searle, Basil Wolverton, Al Capp, Ernie Bushmiller, Ray Gotto, Milton Caniff and hundreds of others. All the entries are hand-lettered. It's quite a fun and intimate guide to the most successful comic strip and comic book artists of the time. The front cover is a picture of the 1980 banquet. Also included are a list of past members (deceased), a complete list of Reuben Award winners and Category winners, with brief introductory material. Such as Alex Raymond. The National Cartoonist Society Albums began in the late 1940s and are generally uncommon to rare. Out of Print. Condition: Good. Very light cover wear. Front cover mid-way down, three inch horizontal cut leading into the first 4 pages.
