Best known as the artist behind the 2022 Marvel Masterpieces trading card set, Dan dos Santos created more than 135 stunning traditional oil paintings featuring Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains. Renowned for his bold use of light, rich saturated color, and emotionally charged realism, his artwork brings iconic characters to life with striking depth and energy. Well-known for his colorful oil paintings, dos Santos has worked for clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, Activision, Scholastic Books, The Greenwich Workshop, Penguin Books, Random House, Upper Deck, Wizards of the Coast, DC Comics, and many more, and has been the recipient of many awards. He is a ‘Rhodes Family Scholarship’ winner, a five time ‘Hugo Award’ Nominee for Best Artist, Jack Gauhan Award Winner, Chesley Award Winner, and has received both gold and silver medals from Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art.
