Collora began at Stan Winston Studios on Leviathan, and soon became known as a creature designer and sculptor, then moved into concept design, sculpting, storyboarding, art direction and finally directing. Thirteen chapters both interview and closely examine his work as well as Forest Rogers, Peter Konig, Allen Williams (we've handled his sketchbooks), Norman Cabrera, Fancage Didier, Paul Komoda, Andy Bergholtz, Ed Edmunds, Bruce Fuller, David Meng, Chez Zar, etc. Collora made his directorial debut in 1999 with the short film Solomon Bernstein's Bathroom. 1999 also saw the birth of his toy development studio and independent production company Montauk Films. Collora attracted attention with 2003 short film, Batman: Dead End, intended to act as a director's demonstration reel.
