SUPERMAN The Silver Age Dailies 1959-1966 Set of Three Volumes

Superman: The Silver Age Dailies set of three. The Man of Steel comes to the Library of American Comics! In partnership with DC Entertainment, the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning imprint will produce deluxe archival editions of the Superman newspaper strip that ran from 1939-1966. The Dailies was released in three sub-sets, starting with The Silver Age, then The Atomic Age, and finally, The Golden Age. Each volume contains more than 750 daily strips. Volume 1 (1959-1961)  contains the complete episodes from April 6, 1959, to August 12, 1961, and features art by Curt Swan, Wayne Boring, and Stan Kaye, with Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel scripting stories by Otto Binder, Robert Bender, Jerry Coleman, and a new version of his own classic "Superman Returns to Krypton!"

Volume 2 (1961-1963) of the Superman Silver Age daily newspaper strips presents the never-before-reprinted stories from August 1961 through November 1963. Stories include: "The Feud Between Superman and Clark Kent," "The Day Superman Broke the Law," "The Reporter of Steel," "Lois Lane's Revenge on Superman," "The Invisible Lois Lane," and "The Man Who Betrayed Superman's Identity," among others.

Volume 3 (1963-1966) of the Superman Silver Age daily newspaper strips presents never-before-reprinted stories from November 1963 through the series' conclusion in April 1966. Wayne Boring provides the classic artwork, and once again, Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel scripts adaptations of stories that first appeared in comic books. Stories include: “Lex Luthor, Daily Planet Editor,” “Superman’s Sacrifice,” “The Man Who Stole Superman’s Secret Life,” “Lois Lane’s Love Trap,” "Clark Kent in the Big House," and “The Goofy Superman,” among others.

Out Of Print. Condition: Fine Plus. Volumes 1 & 2 have lightly bumped bottom corners. Volumes 1 & 3 have very light spine edge wear.
