Sir John Everett Millais, 1st Baronet, PRA was an English painter and illustrator who was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He was a child prodigy who, aged eleven, became the youngest student to enter the Royal Academy Schools. Includes a detailed chronology, the transcript of a rare BBC radio program he produced in 1967with Mary Lutyens and the late Admiral Sir Williams James, who sat for Bubbles, and texts linking five illustrated sections: Childhood, Pre-Raphaelite Paintings and Drawings, Book Illustrations, Subject and Genre Pictures, and Portraits and Landscapes.
