Description
American Artist, Musician & Comic Maker Mary Fleener uses her distinctive Picasso-on-acid Cubismo style to adapt early American stories by folklorist Zora Neale Hurston. Includes a biographical page on Hurston and her work recording and adapting African-American folklore and music.
HOODOO was Mary first solo comic in 1988 and 2 years later she did an autobiographical title called "Slutburger". There were only 5 issues, so most were collected in a book called "Life of the Party" (1995).
