Featuring four great bi-monthly, 52-page issues with several stories in each, entirely by the great Jack Cole. There was only one Plastic Man and only one Jack Cole. Like Eisner and The Spirit, Cole's work here is some of the very finest of the Golden Age. Plas had his serious moments, but Cole knew his humor and it's always just around the corner on these stories. Just seeing all the things Plas could turn himself into -- and how he'd disguise himself as ordinary items, like a fire hydrant or a barber's pole...it's amazing. Plastic Man also starred as the cover feature in Police Comics #1-102, but here we are collecting his stand-alone title. Cole's bad girls are also in a class by themselves, and you'll see it's no wonder that Hugh Hefner hired Cole to create "Cole's Femmes" for Playboy. He knew how to draw the ladies, too.
