NIGHTMARE Magazine #8

PS Artbooks continues their series of Nightmare reprints with issue #8 dated August 1972. A black-and-white comic magazine absolutely packed full of horror and suspense. All stories reproduced here completely like the original comic magazine, but in a softcover package. This issue includes "Andras: The Grand Marquis of Hell!" by Al Hewetson & Pablo Marcos; "Snow-Bound!" by Ed Fedory & Felipe Dela Rosa; "Hey Creep: Play the Macabre Waltz" by Al Hewetson & Ferran Sostres; "Rot, Robin, Rot!" by Al Hewetson (as "Jay Wood") & Dan Sevilla; "The Tunnels of Horror" by Al Hewetson & Pablo Marcos; "Satan's Graveyard" by Al Hewetson & Syd Shores (as "Jim Elder"), photos by Al Hewetson, inks by Dan Adkins; "Hung Up" by Bruce Jones; "The Sting of Death" by Chic Stone; "The Weird and The Undead" by Al Hewetson (as "Howie Anderson") & Ferran Sostres. Cover by Vincente Segrelles. I was really into Warren’s Creepy and Eerie as a young collector in the '70s, but I also enjoyed the horror mags from Skywald with their “Horror-Mood” tales and Boris Vallejo cover work. Nightmare was a personal favorite of mine (being the first of their titles that I discovered), and these PS Artbooks reprints present the full contents of each issue. I’d like to see these collected into a single volume eventually. ~Marty
