NATIONAL LAMPOON MAGAZINE 1979-1987 Set of 12

Set of twelve. National Lampoon Magazine (June, August & November 1979, January- July & September 1982, & August 1987) was a humor magazine that ran from 1970 to 1998. It was founded by Douglas Kenny, Henry Beard & Robert Hoffman, who were Harvard alum and worked on the Harvard Lampoon in the 1960s. Kenny & Beard had written the very popular Tolkien parody Bored of the Rings while at the Harvard Lampoon.  The magazine mainly featured parody and surrealist content. There were long and short articles, new (some actual!) cartoons and comic strips (my favorite was Trots and Bonnie!-DC). There was also, the ""foto-funnies" which often featured nudity. Mature Reader. Out of Print. Condition: Fine. Cover & edge wear. Bumped corners, some with creases.
