Description
Two previously unpublished personal sketchbooks by Jean Giraud Mœbius are brought together in a single 244-page book. For Moebius, walking around with a sketchbook in his pocket at all times was a habit and working method. Created between 1996 and 1999, these collect his graphic musings. He threw in the seeds of his future albums -- such as the first pages of Le Chasseur Déprime -- as well as spontaneous concepts, poems, and observational drawings: family moments, friendly encounters, or specific places: Paris, Los Angeles, Boston, Mexico City, New York... With Lézards Rêveurs, these mental snapshots project us directly into another world, opening up a more intimate glimpse into Moebius's life and his dreamlike wanderings. Text in French. Hardcover, import, limited availability.
