This is  original edition of the cartoonist Milton Caniff's biography printed in 1946, affirming his status as a master of the newspaper strip. Chapters include: The Life of Milton Caniff, The Rise of Comic-Art and How to be a Comic-Artist. Years before comics were considered an art form, Clark Kinnaird, a publicity writer for Hearst, put together this volume under his frequent nom-de-plume, John Paul Adams and was published by David McKay of Philadelphia. Adams examined the life and career of one of the most influential cartoonists in the medium's history - Milt Caniff, creator of Steve Canyon and Terry and the Pirates.
