Description
Mea Culpa is the spectacularly illustrated story of an all-American killer. Growing up somewhere in the Midwest in the postwar period, the protagonist of this graphic novel-which is written entirely in pictures, without words, learns to be a cold-blooded, calculating climber. The hero attends a brutal parochial school, where he is a popular football star. While there, he learns that only the cruelest students prosper both academically and socially. In the last days of high school, just before he is sent off to college, he impulsively murders a neighbor, one of his mother's friends. The police suspect him, but they have no proof.
Subsequently, the protagonist begins a political career, and at the pinnacle of American politics, the Presidency, is forced to confront his past. Out Of Print. Condition: Fine Minus.
