Little Orphan Annie by Harold Grey, is the first of nine hardback books (1926-1934) by Cupples & Leon Company reprinting 86 early Annie black & white daily strips from 1925. The original source of the strips is the Chicago Tribune. Color cover. Spine may be one of several colors (orange). Little Orphan Annie followed the wide-ranging adventures of Annie, her dog Sandy and her benefactor Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. Secondary characters include Punjab, the Asp and Mr. Am. Out of Print. Condition: Very Good. Cover boards have bumped corners, some with paper and color lose. Edges have wear also with some paper and color lose. Cover is faded. Their is some soiling front and back. There are creases in the boards. Inscription to "Bernice" from "Grand Pa" inside.  Title page has been colored (they did a good job!). Interior pages show some soiling at the edges. Binding solid.
