LITTLE NEMO IN SLUMBERLAND

These Little Nemo In Slumberland reprints  appeared in the New York Herald between the years 1905-1911. They ere taken directly from Winsor McCay's original drawing and were not retouched. Little Nemo first appeared in 1905 and ran for a decade but was stopped because Brisbane, who was McCay's editorial directer, insisted he use his talents only for the editorial cartoons heading Brisbane's own page. Little Nemo was resurrected in 1924 and appeared for another three years. It was rare to see it after 1927  but for a few reprints in comic books every now and again or in a new page by R. Winsor Mc Cay, the original Nemo himself. Out of Print. Condition: Fine. Very little rubbing on the edges and tiny white speaks on the front cover (hardly noticeable).
