The Komplete Kat Komics, Volume 7 contains reprints of the Sunday pages from January 5, 1922 to December 31, 1922. The introduction "A Kat of Many Kolors" by Bill Blackbeard, tells the story of The Jazz Pantomime and the funny papers in 1922. The last piece "The Ignatz Mouse Debaffler Page" by Bill Blackbeard, presents different "tips & tricks" about the 1922's strips. From January 7 to March 11 1922, William Randolph Hearst introduced an experimental Saturday comics section in color that only appeared in the New York Journal. These pages have recently been uncovered, and are reprinted in this volume for the very first time. The Hearst papers soon put an end to this experiment, however, and the enclosed KRAZY pages were the last to appear in color until 1935. This volume also includes six other rarely seen Herriman color Sunday pages: selections from Major Ozone (a Little Nemo parody), Us Husbands, and Stumble Inn. Out Of Print. Condition: Very Fine.
