FRANK FRAZETTA ICON PROMOTIONAL BROCHURE

When Underwood Books produced Icon, the first of three books they devoted to Frank Frazetta, they pulled out all the stops. To promote the book to retailers, they produced this 12-page, 9x12, full color glossy brochure, complete with testimonials from fellow artists, book sample pages, and full page paintings. This was pre-publication, done prior to the book itself. It notes the book will be published in October, 1998, with a first printing of 30,000 copies. Very heavy card stock, full color, full gloss. As part of our handling Underwood's file copies, we obtained the last supply of these. It was not widely distributed and is certainly uncommon today. It includes two photographs of Frank, a sample Little Annie Fanny page, the iconic Conan the Conqueror painting, several black and white pencil drawings, The Night They Raided Minsky's film poster, and quite a few other finished paintings.
