The complete Ferdinando Tacconi WWII adventure War Eagle from The Comet #498 to 518, 1958-59. Along with Jesus Belasco, Tacconi stands out as the most popular artist from the 1950s and 60s and had two great loves: drawing comics and airplanes. Tacconi first work was the story of Morgan il Pirata in 1947. He began illustrating for British comics in the mid-1950s. He also illustrated Commando One for The Comet and Battler Britton for The Sun, as well as a score of war libraries. He was also doing work for the legendary Look and Learn. In 1989, he wrote and drew, together with Gino D'antonio, an eight-volume series of books on the Second World War.
