Dream of the Rarebit Fiend is a newspaper comic strip by American cartoonist Winsor McCay, the creator of Little Nemo. This pioneering cartoon strip, is a world of dreams and nightmares, fraught with episodes of wish fulfillments and exaggerations in size and perspective. It begun September 10, 1904. It was McCay's second successful strip, after Little Sammy Sneeze secured him a position on the cartoon staff of the New York Herald. This facsimile of the rare 1905 first edition recaptures Winsor McCay's imaginative brilliance and his influence on latter-day animation with 60 cartoon sequences. Out Of Print.
