DOLL MAN Volume 3

These issues are a testament to the enduring appeal of Doll Man, offering readers a captivating blend of science fiction, adventure, and heroics in each issue. Dollman was one of the first superheroes to get his own title, while still running as the cover story in Feature Comics. His only ability was to get small but with the same strength as a full grown adult.  Stories were lots of fun and in these early issues, very well drawn. This collects three big 64-page issues when Doll Man was published quarterly. Issue #7 was published in Fall of 1943 -- then the title went on hiatus for the war, until #8 came out in Spring of 1946 and continued regularly until #47 in 1953. Doll Man ran for more than 100 issues as the lead feature in Feature Comics, 1939 to 1949. He was created by Will Eisner, and Lou Fine was his first artist in Feature Comics. Also with art by Fran Matera, Mort Leav, Fred Guardineer, Dan Zolnerowich (from over at Fiction House), MLJ & Archie artist Harry Sahle, and Gill Fox. Doll Man, along with Plastic Man and Blackhawk , was the leading hero from Quality Comics for nearly 15 years of the Golden Age.
