Description

WAREHOUSE FIND! The unmistakable art of Kelley Jones on two gothic thrillers with surprisingly adult themes and some nudity! This Smythe-sewn hardcover edition is sourced from the original boards and showcases the boldly dramatic line art that established Jones' creative style prior to his work on Batman and other DC characters. Written by Mike Baron and first published in 1989 and 1992, starring the same Deadman that Carmine Infantino and Neal Adams first made famous. Kelley made him even darker, even more baroque and bizarre. This 12" x 17" Smythe-sewn hardcover includes a sequentially numbered signature page signed by Kelley Jones, presented in a debossed slipcase with a debossed, taped spine. Limited to 100 copies. Collecting Jones' artwork from Deadman: Love After Death #1-2 (1989) and Deadman: Exorcism #1-2 (1992), the artwork in this Gallery Edition is sourced from the original boards and presented at actual size. Graphitti Designs has long been a publisher of unique and limited edition large-format hardcover books collecting noteworthy series or the combined works of some of the industry's most popular creators. Many of these limited-edition volumes sold for many years, and many of them are no longer available. But we recently discovered through our friend Bob Chapman at Graphitti that there were also some very limited versions of these books, that were only available through their website. These volumes are super limited (only 100 to 250 copies each) and are each signed by the artist (or writer in some cases). We're very excited to offer these limited-edition books for the first time to our customers and collectors! Rush Service and International shipping could require an additional charge.
