DAVE STEVENS Selected Sketches & Studies Volume 2 Signed

The second-ever sketchbook produced by the premier good-girl artist of recent times. Dave created The Rocketeer and was the prime mover in Bettie Page being rediscovered. Published by Dave himself, here are the last copies of his original 1,500 copy printing. Dave passed away before signing all 1500, but he did sign these. Includes drawings of Bettie Page, Suzie Wong, a Clint Eastwood portrait, Star Wars pieces, The Rocketeer, a steamy Phantom Lady cover, Blonde Avenger, Aurora, Vampirella, Shewolf, Fatima, and serious (and amazing) nude studies from actresses and models. This 2003 sketchbook showcases a collection of character studies and finished drawings in pencil and pen & ink by this master pin-up artist. Dave was the first to win Comic-Con International's Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award in 1982, and received both an Inkpot Award and the Kirby Award for Best Graphic Album in 1986.
