In the mid 1930's at the peak of Dashiell Hammett's career, he wrote this daily strip for the King Features Syndicate, Secret Agent X-9. Working with him was Alex Raymond, who was just beginning to make a name for himself with his own two strips, Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim.
