DAREDEVIL COMICS Volume 2

The Golden Age Daredevil was created by Jack Binder, brother of Otto.  Here was also one of the great villains of the Golden Age, The Claw, even nastier than The Joker -- he fought DD again and again. We also get early horror comics, Nazi covers and Remember Pearl Harbor as they came out just as the U.S. entered WWII. As a child, Bart Hill was witness to his parents' brutal murder. The murderer also branded Bart with a hot iron, leaving a boomerang-shaped scar on the left side of his chest. This traumatic experience left the boy mute. He trained his entire life in the art of the boomerang, eventually becoming a master boomerang marksman. He then donned a costume and took to the streets as the vigilante crime-fighter known as Daredevil. From the creators of Crime Does Not Pay, the company's greatest superhero, who lasted into the 1950s. These early stories are classics with one of the best costumes of any Golden Age hero.
