CRIME CLINIC COMIC #3 Facsimile Edition

A painted cover by Norman Saunders kicks off this cool pre-code issue. Inside there is excellent artwork by John Prentice, Al McWilliams, the nearly unknown but outstanding Mike Suchorsky (he did amazing work on Ziff-Davis' G.I. Joe at this same time), and Leonard Starr. A one-pager looks at fingerprinting from a bullet; there's an ad for Little Al of the FBI; the 1952 Lionel Train Catalog; and a text story on "Public Enemy." Ziff-Davis had more money to spend than the typical comics publisher, since they also had a big line of magazines. Thus they hired the best, as you can see above. Nice work and I'll be the stories are above average also. The back cover by Henry Sharp portrays a prisoner being escorted down that long dark hall...to the electric chair! Ouch!
