COPPERVALE'S INTERNATIONAL STUDIO 2nd Issue Vol. 1 No. 2

Illustrated Journal of The Romantic and Fantastic, 2nd Issue Vol. 1 No. 2 from March 2003 is oversize, square bound, on lush, heavy stock, and features extensive pieces by some of the greatest illustrators of today and of yesteryear. This issue of the high-quality arts periodical has an extensive cover feature by fantasy illustrator James Christensen, as well as a feature by comics’ own Mike Baron on Sleeping Beauty designer Eyvind Earle. There’s also an impressive sketchbook feature on the art featuring Starman’s Tony Harris, and James Christensen. Also features a profile of Ogden Pleissner, the first part of an interview with John Picacio and a gallery of Gary Spencer Millidge.

More than a century ago, the premiere arts magazine being published was International Studio. It was the progenitor of Collier’s and Town & Country, it was as much a society mag (photos of Monet in his garden!) as anything else. Out of Print. Condition: Fine Plus. Tipped corners.
