CAT-MAN #2 Facsimile Edition

Charles M. Quinlan’s Cat-Man has become one of the key titles of the Golden Age, known for its quirky hero and fun stories. We’re thrilled to offer facsimile editions of the first three issues. Typical of this era, Cat-Man is cover-featured with lots of backup strips -- 64 pages worth. Ray Willner does Lucky Landers, Chute Harmon, Devil Dogs and Rag-Man. Ed Lipowski draws Lance Rand/Dr. Igor, a sci-fi strip that may have been inspired by the film Dr. Cyclops released in April 1941. Scientist Dr. Igor looks very much like Dr. Cyclops. It's wartime now, and stories vary between fighting the Axis and crime on the home front. This is before Kitten joined Cat-Man. The second adventure of David Merryweather, the enigmatic hero known as Cat-Man. His cunning and agility reign supreme. With David’s alter ego, Cat-Man, prowling the shadows, justice takes on a feline form as he battles against crime and corruption with his razor-sharp wit and unmatched acrobatic prowess. Quinlan was one of the most competent artists of the Golden Age. This title, from offbeat publisher Temerson, is a good one from start to finish.
