CAT-MAN #1 Facsimile Edition

Charles M. Quinlan's Cat-Man has become one of the key titles of the Golden Age, known for its quirky hero and fun stories. We're thrilled to offer facsimile editions of the first three issues. Typical of this era, Cat-Man is cover-featured with lots of backup strips -- 64 pages' worth. Quinlan also draws pilot Hurricane Harrigan and flaming hero Blaze Barton. Allen Ulmer draws crimefighters The Deacon and Dr. Diamond. Ray Willner does Lucky Landor and Rag-Man. This issue features the origins and first appearances of most of these features, including Cat-Man himself (this is before Kitten joined him). Here's the first of many daring adventures of David Merryweather, the enigmatic hero known as Cat-Man. His cunning and agility reign supreme. Quinlan was one of the most competent artists of the Golden Age. This title, from offbeat publisher Temerson, is a good one from start to finish. Cat-Man lasted 22 issues, a good solid run for the time, while going through two more publishers and some more fine artists, including Bob Fuji drawing the most-desirable final issues.
