A biographical study of Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1st Baronet, ARA who was a British painter and designer associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood which included Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Millais, Ford Madox Brown and William Holman Hunt. Burne-Jones worked as a designer of a wide range of crafts including ceramic tiles, jewellery, tapestries, and mosaics. Among his most significant and lasting designs are those for stained glass windows the production of which was a revived craft during the 19th century. Richly illustrated with 280 black and white plates and 50 color plates. Includes a select bibliography, a list of stained-glass windows designed by Burne-Jones, and a list of public collections containing Burne-Jones' work. Included is a 5x7 Hallmark Christmas card with "A Musical Angel" illustration on the front, by Burne-Jones. Brown cloth book without a dust jacket. Gold gilded lettering on the spine. Out of Print.
