BULLETMAN Volume 4

Bulletman and Bulletgirl return in more classic wartime stories, and also battling some very inventive villains: the Fiendish Fiddler, Mr. Ego, The Waxer, The Weeper, The Crackpot, The Queen of Diamonds -- even a giant robot on the cover story for #12. Bulletdog is introduced and they actually had a contest to name him. Great old-school 68-page issues! Join Jim Barr and Susan Kent as they soar through the pages of Golden Age classics; Mac Raboy helped popularize the character but he's not in these issues. There's actually no #13, that number got skipped...and the run ended with #16, but Bulletman kept appearing as a regular in Master Comics for several more years, and in the compilation annuals Xmas Comics. He was one of the top Fawcett characters along with the big red cheese, Capt. Marvel, as well as Spy Smasher and Captain Midnight. He got his start in the short Nickel Comics series, Fawcett's experiment with five cent issues...then he jumped to Master and was a regular cover feature until Captain Marvel Jr. took over; Bulletman continued but as a backup feature there.
