BATTLER BRITTON: Bloody Good Show

October, 1942: The Nazis are winning on every front. From the Russian steppes to the sands of North Africa, Hitler’s legions are on the advance. Now, two fighter squadrons–one British, one American–are assigned to fly together in the barren Egyptian desert. Their leader is the RAF’s Wing Commander Robert Britton, known to friend and foe alike as “Battler”.

But the US pilots are not at all keen on submitting to British command, and when orders arrive to begin operations from a new base deep behind enemy lines–directly under the Germans’ noses–Battler is not at all sure the two units can cooperate successfully. When allies fail to fight as one, only their opponents win–and the Nazi fighters, forever hovering in the blazing desert sun, are quick to scent an opportunity.

After revamping Johnny Red, Garth Ennis (Preacher, The Boys) turned his attention to Battler Britton with this bold and exciting interpretation of the classic character, with artwork by Colin Wilson (Judge Dredd, Blueberry), bringing one of British Comics's most fondly remembered characters back in a brand-new adventure.
