BATMAN Kelley Jones Signed Gallery Edition

WAREHOUSE FIND! This is the first in a series of deluxe, hardcovers from Graphitti Designs which faithfully reproduce the original art from select, key DC Comics series. This volume presents Kelly Jones' covers and interior pages from Batman #515-519 and #521-525. These stories were written by Doug Moench, with most pages inked by John Beatty. Graphitti Designs' Gallery Editions reproduce the look and feel of the original art as it was originally created by the artist. Though it appears to be printed in black-and-white, the contents of these books are sourced from high-resolution, full-color scans taken directly from the artwork. Each high-quality, Smythe-sewn hardcover book captures every detail of the art at actual size and are printed at 200 line-screen on a rich, heavy paper stock. This DC Gallery Edition  features a debossed slipcase with debossed, taped spine. Graphitti Designs has long been a publisher of unique and limited edition large-format hardcover books collecting noteworthy series or the combined works of some of the industry's most popular creators. Many of these limited-edition volumes sold for many years, and many of them are no longer available. But we recently discovered through our friend Bob Chapman at Graphitti that there were also some very limited versions of these books, that were only available through their website. These volumes are super limited (only 100 to 250 copies each) and are each signed by the artist (or writer in some cases). We're very excited to offer these limited-edition books for the first time to our customers and collectors! I got to know Kelley Jones while working at Bud's Comics & Comix store in Citrus Heights, California, back in the '80s. He was just getting started back then but was already a talented artist. That I got to hang out with him as a friend (even a fellow employee for a short time!) and play Dungeons & Dragons with him and our comic shop friends and family weekly, pleases me to this day.
