At the beginning of the 1890s in Nancy and Paris, Art nouveau in France developed, Painters, sculptors, architects, craftsmen and industrialists came together under the banner "Art for all and Art everywhere". Art began to take the form of living things. Water imagery produced canvas, ceramics and glass, plants provided lamps, fireplaces, tables and beds. Winner of the 1990 Berkshire Conference Book Award.
