Al Capp's classic comic strip Li'l Abner was reprinted in a series of 27 volumes by Kitchen Sink Press in the 1990s and subsequent reprints are a chronological reprinting of the Li'l Abner daily comic strips. This set of volumes 16-21 cover the years 1951-1955, originally released in 1993. It also features artwork by Frank Frazetta, who assisted Al Capp on the strip during this period.

Volume 16: 1950: The storyline follows Li'l Abner on a year-long quest to find "the perfect woman" after discovering a piece of a torn photo showing only her knee. His search leads him through outer space and various strange lands.

Volume 17: 1951: 17 covers the daily strips from 1951. After 18 years of Abner famously evading Daisy Mae's marital pursuits, a fictional marriage in his favorite comic strip, Fearless Fosdick, convinces him to reluctantly propose to Daisy 17-20 continue the journey and include a major turning point for the strip.

Volume 18: 1952: This volume covers the daily strips from 1952, the year in which Li'l Abner finally marries Daisy Mae.

Volume 19: 1953: This volume covers the daily strips from 1953.

Volume 20: 1954: This volume covers the daily strips from 1954.

Volume 21: 1955: This volume includes the popular story arc Mr. Yokum Goes To Washington. This volume primarily covers the story of the Yokumberry Tonic, a potion that turns the scrawny men of Dogpatch into muscular figures.
