AIRFLOW Philip Castle

Vintage 1980s Airflow with full color reproductions of British airbrush artist Philip Castle, best known for his lurid combinations of pin-up women and vehicles, motorcycles, jets. Illustrations/ prints of Warren Beatty, Sgt. Bilko, Miles Davies, Paul Hogarth, Mr Spock, the WHO, Bruce Lee, Marlon Brando, Elvis, Mermaids, Ice Hockey, Lotus Esprit, Jaguar XJS, Ford GT 40, and many more. Castle also designed posters for the Stanley Kubrick films A Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket as well for Paul McCartney's Wings tour, among others. He was also responsible for the artwork of the hard rock video magazine, Hard'n'Heavy, the cover art for the seminal computer game Elite and its accompanying novella, as well as the European poster for the Tim Burton film Mars Attacks! Out of Print. Condition: Fine Plus. Light cover and edge wear. Light bit of staining to top front cover at spine. One lightly bumped corner.
