Description
This museum catalogue is a selection of pieces from the 2025 exhibition of Sandy Plunkett's work held by The Southwest Ohio History Center. In the 35 years that Plunkett has been located in Ohio, he has, if unintentionally, created a visual chronicle of the many non-profits, small businesses, local bands and political scandals that have come and gone from his corner of the Appalachian foothills. Each image is accompanied with anecdotal accounts of the why and wherefore behind each commission, with a peek into his process. To many who know Plunkett primarily through his work in the comic book field, this is a chance to become more familiar with the other side of his artistic career.
