Reprints of the Sunday strip were syndicated by King Features from 2003 until 2023, when \u003cem\u003eFlash Gordon\u003c\/em\u003e was relaunched with a new daily and Sunday strip.\n\nAlex Raymond created the strip  as a Sunday in 1934 and stayed until 1944. Austin Briggs began the daily strips in 1940, which ran until 1944. He then took over the Sunday strips from Raymond and stayed until 1948. He was replaced by Mac Raboy.
